We have a fireplace!

We visited the house yesterday and took a couple of photos of the progress. The plasterboard is finished and all joins have been puttied and plastered over. Cornices still to be put up. Bricks still yet to start. But we now have a fireplace!

We visited the site late Saturday afternoon and were amazed yet again at the weeks progress.

My entrance way niche, I've measured the planned artwork for this space and it's going to work perfectly!

Niche in Main Bedroom Hallway/Entrance Way.....

We are still not sure what to do with this space, I'm sure it will become the place for Keys, Wallets & Handbags, but I'm also thinking of putting in some glass shelves.... any ideas?

There will be timber framed double glass doors in this entrance to the Main Bedroom too.

Where my kitchen will go, and  the two fixed glass windows I've gone over and over again in my head!

Other end of Big Room, the left side where the fireplace is will have occasional chairs, a big fluffy rug, and hopefully shelving either side to create a library space. The right side will be the dining room where I'll hand the second pendant pendant light featured here.

We are off to Topories at Beaumont House on Sunday for lunch to celebrate a belated 5 year anniversary, so no doubt we'll visit the 'House' (I've had to change from saying the 'Block') after lunch.

Front Doors are in!

All external doors are now on (except Garage Doors),

wiring is complete,

ducted airconditioning is installed,

framing for the gas fireplace is complete (after much discussion),

and .....

MY Walk-In-Robe! (Hoping it's big enough!)

Plasterers start tomorrow and Brickies also to start this week.

Meeting with the Electrician

We met with the Electrician this morning to review our Electrical plan prior to him commencing the wiring. We made a few minor changes, mostly to hat switches turn of what lights etc. The ducted air con was being installed while we were there too, those boys just walked freely around on the roof trusses as if they were in the circus!

Plasterers and Bricklayers are booked for next week and should take around 2 weeks onsite. Then our Timber Floor layers will be at the house for approx 3 weeks to complete their job which will bring us up to Christmas.

The builder is hoping to have everything locked up by Christmas, with end of March still for Handover.

I'm back.............

from our break at Hayman Island all excited and refreshed to finish the year.

It was such a fantastic place to visit, complete five star service from overly happy staff, beautiful weather and picturesque views all day long.
